Pretty Hurts

Some of you might have noticed that I have started to name my posts after lyrics or song title. I think I have mentioned this before, but I am a song text addict and sometimes listen to a song over and over again just for one line. So whenever I can find something that matches a color or a theme of a look I use it as the title of my post, almost like a little hint or an allusion. This one though, is a little bit harder to guess since it is referring to the background story of this outfit. Initially, I had planned to finally – after announcing it multiple times – style my Rihanna X Fenty platform flats. Well, turned out I can’t walk in those shoes more than a mile. I tried everything. With padding, without padding, with padding and band aids, padding made of leather, padding made of gel, I even glued a piece of felt into the back of the shoe. Nothing helps. No matter what I do, at the end of the day I always get the worst blisters. After the last attempt, which ended horribly and with a lot of pain, I eventually give up. I have to admit defeat and more importantly protect my feet. Which brings us to the footwear of choice in this post.

So after a month of trying, failing and lastly realizing that I am not going to be able to make the Puma X Fenty shoes work, I needed comfortable every day shoes. The first pair that I bought is from Puma as well, but 100 x more comfortable, as sneakers should be. Or to be honest, as all flat shoes should be. But what can you do, there is a traitor once in a while. Although I don’t really get why no one actually walks in the shoes they are going to be selling beforehand to make sure they don’t rub off 3 layers of your skin. I guess that is none of their business anymore once you paid the money. Anyway, I supported my queen, let her live her live and continue being beautiful. The shoes are going to be displayed somewhere in my room, as a reminder to never ever buy shoes where there is even a 1 % chance  of them ruining my feet and day. I don’t need that kind of negativity in my life. And neither do you, XO
